How to fix Windows December 2020 update BSOD loop with vgk.sys and CorsairVBusDriver.sys

tl;dr

If you’re stuck in a BSOD loop, can’t use your keyboard to enter safe mode, and have Valorant and/or Corsair Unity Engine installed with either vgk.sys or CorsairVBusDriver.sys highlighted as what failed, then use Command Prompt to find and delete both of them. They conflict with the most recent Windows December 2020 update.

This year sees British games firm Revolution Software celebrate their 25th anniversary. If you aren’t aware of the name, you will be aware of some of the games they’ve been responsible for, chiefly the Broken Sword series. I write for and edit a video games website and we’re currently working on a series of content to celebrate the work of Charles Cecil’s company. I recently reviewed the original Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars and more content is on the way so if Broken Sword and point and click adventure games are your bag then you should definitely check it out and join in the conversation.

Five facts: The Tyne-Wear Derby

Newcastle United play Sunderland this afternoon in what is being billed by both sides as their biggest game of the season. The North East teams are currently struggling to avoid relegation into the Sky Bet Championship (Newcastle having previously being relegated in the 2008/2009 season).

Rafa Benitez took over from Steve McClaren at the helm of of the Toon after a week of uncertainty and the Spaniard’s first home game is against local rivals Sunderland. Sunderland have previously had success swapping out managers just before derby matches with Paulo Di Canio, Gus Poyet, Dick Advocaat, and Sam Allardyce all losing their first game in charge before winning their second.

Last week I spent four incredible days with 44 other emerging leaders of the third-sector, on the American Express Leadership Academy delivered by Common Purpose in London. I’d never really considered myself as a leader in the past. I’d managed projects, managed staff, managed budgets, but that’s where I drew the line. Was I really a leader? And what makes a good leader?
